According to the laws of fashion economics, hemlines come down in a recession. Maybe out of respect for faltering markets? Not so with CW shows. Witness: Gossip Girl, 90210, Privileged. Lots of exposed thigh, lots of pampered teenagers spending money willy nilly without even a nod to the teeming masses' subprime woes.
