In the last 20 years or so American journalism has become something weird and strange and horrible. Probably most of us can agree on that. If we were to represent the current condition of the enterprise in anthropomorphic form, it would look something like the creature who camps out behind the restaurant dumpster in Mulholland Drive.

Which brings me to Fox News, that place where classical public discourse goes to die. After ruining politics for America, they're turning their attention on science.
