Portfolio's Jeff Bercovici reports that Wired's August issue, aka the one with "celebrity" "journalist" Julia Allison on the cover, is one of the magazine's best-selling issues in the past eight years. Wired cover folks Allison has outsold: Sarah Silverman, Rupert Murdoch, John Stewart, and Steven Spielberg (twice).
