• Making the call: John McCain will announce his VP pick Friday morning at a rally in Ohio, but it won't be Joe Lieberman if Karl Rove can help it. Last week, Rove reportedly called Lieberman and urged him to withdraw from consideration, but Lieberman dismissed the request.

• Under the Guns: A Los Angeles blogger has been arrested and his bail set at $10,000 for streaming unreleased songs from Guns N' Roses highly anticipated album, Chinese Democracy.

• Writing the Facebook: West Wing writer Aaron Sorkin (yeah, he also did Studio 60, but everyone likes to forget that), has signed on write a film about the founders of Facebook.
