New Yorker film critic Anthony Lane's long-time partner and child-bearer Allison Pearson is in deep trouble with Miramax—they want their $700K book advance back, as she hasn't actually delivered the book. We presume this means that Lane will recuse himself from covering Miramax's upcoming slate. Tricky! That includes important forthcoming arthouse flick Knight Rider? What a loss. Actually, wait, it totally is.
