John Edwards' "Son of a Mill" Worker Story Bursts Into Flames

Cheating and lying former presidential candidate John Edwards—you might have heard him, say, once or twice—is the son of a mill worker. Edwards himself even worked in the mill as a young boy, a job which turned him into the disciplined, integrity-filled man he is today. Well, yesterday, the very mill that served as the emotional and spiritual crux of Edwards' 2004 campaign burned for 12 hours in a multi-alarm fire.

We're sure that's not symbolic of anything in the least.
