Still pretending not to care about what goes down in Michigan state politics? That's sad, man. Because right now there is major shit afoot—as in bad mamma Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick winning her reelection bid major! (I know.) But it was no thanks to her bumbling, overstuffed son Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, of course. Last week, Ma Cheeks faced a suddenly hotly contested race against Representative Mary Waters and State Senator Martha Scott, who were each making the case that the many pending crimes of her son proved she was a bad mother, and hence a bad leader, and, really, who needs any more of that? The good people of Michigan do, it seems. Might be a good time to try and get those felony charges dismissed again, Kwame. Go Wolverines! [Politico]
