As someone who opposed the invasion of Iraq and repeatedly referred to it as quagmire from which would find it almost impossible to extricate ourselves, I feel it is my duty to apologize: I was wrong to say that the devastation which would inevitably accompany our occupation would take years to repair. As it turns out, everything's back to normal now! Guess it's time to bring the troops home.
