With New York City nightlife as the theme to this week's Project Runway, we had high hopes. We readied the puns. We dreamed a fanciful dream that somewhere, somehow, Meat Packing District-loving guidos were gathering by the hundreds to watch the show and learn that New York nightlife clothing does not have to be Ed Hardy, skintight, or even collared to be acceptable. But within a New York minute of the runway show's start we realized something: though the personalities of this year's contestants are mostly engaging, each of their designs are decidedly unmoving.
