McCain Ad Calls Obama "Biggest Celebrity In The World." ZING!

John McCain has a new attack ad (shock!) out today against Barack Obama. "Celeb" calls Barry the "the biggest celebrity in the world" while juxtaposing video of him with pictures of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. If you think about it, the comparison works—all three are blond, vapid, attention-seeking skanks. But isn't it a tad trite for Republicans to paint Democrats as in the pocket of "Big Acting?" Even if it seems to be true? Still, the biggest problem with McCain labeling Obama an out of touch Hollywood liberal, is that McCain's own Tinsel Town connections run much deeper.

He's good buddies with a bunch of old Hollywood conservatives, including Warren Beatty and John Voight, who says overheard McCain say he didn't vote for President Bush in 2000. And don't forget his embrace of popular Hills actress Heidi Montag's endorsement.

According to IMDB, McCain has played himself onscreen 22 times—including one in the R-rated Wedding Crashers. R-rated! That means the film "may include adult themes, adult activity, hard language, intense or persistent violence, sexually-oriented nudity, drug abuse or other elements." He's also been in a bunch of stuff we've never heard of like "Horns and Halos," "Shut Up and Sing" and "Night Skies." But McCain can operate off camera too. He shares a writing credit for the film adaptation of his memoir Faith of My Fathers and, bizarrely, a co-writing credit with French intellectual Bernard Henri-Levy for an Italian film called Democracy.

Celebrity, know thyself! What's next, McCain attacking Obama for being an old white guy?

Bar-ack...it took me a second to realize where the derivation came from.
