A-Rod Dances Awkwardly To, Not With, Madonna

Stripper-loving, philandering Yankee Alex Rodriguez has never been exceptionally popular with fans in New York, in large part due to his tendency to choke under pressure despite being the highest-paid player in all of baseball. Now, because of the whole Madonna fiasco, he's not so popular with his teammates, either. (Not that he ever was, but whatever.) The Post reports that none of his fellow Yankees showed up to his All-Star party at Jay-Z's 40/40 club in Manhattan, forcing poor Rodriguez to hang out in a corner booth with his mom and two fellow Kabbalah acolytes, manager Guy Oseary and Madonna gal pal Ingrid Casares. Madonna didn't show up either (nor did she attend the All-Star game, as was rumored), but Rodriguez did dance to a bunch of her songs as "big-busted hotties ... desperately tried to make eye contact with him." That is not an awkward visual at all!

Teammate Derek Jeter faired much better, squiring new ladyfriend and Friday Night Lights star Minka Kelly to his bash at Marquee. Now, is Jeter any less of a dog than A-Rod? Of course not. But he 1) wisely never got married, and 2) is beloved by fans and media professionals alike because he always comes through in the clutch. There's a lesson to be learned there.

Once again, trying to make something from nothing

Unless Minka Kelly is now playing left field for the Yanks or Michael Jordan is the new 5th starter, what current teammates showed up for Jeter's party?
The answer would be as many as showed up at A-Rod's party.
