Raise your hand if your debt exceeds your cash on hand! Holla! And so Amerika has taken gleefully to the story of Milton and Patricia Harper, who went to Disney World and had Extreme Makeover build them a mansion and then put it up as collateral for a loan and had it foreclosed upon. Says Hank Stuever in the Washington Post: "You could (and will) say the Harpers had it coming, but really, we all had this coming." Oh we did! The Boston Herald, in fact, takes that premise deep.
