< BACK TO Fresh Intelligence Lady Reporters To Guy Reporter: "You're A Prick"
"PRICK" IN QUESTION Thrush Judging by the photo and description, the "whoever you are" (mmm, media reporting!) in question would have to be Newsday's Glenn Thrush (pictured above), one of the best-regarded and most hilarious and helpful of reporters working during this endless campaign season—and also, dead giveaway, the only regular hat-wearer in that group. It's certainly unusual for the mild-mannered and Canadian Rachel Sklar to call someone a "prick"—and I'd love to see what would happen if Thrush had typed up this exchange on his Newsday blog and called Sklar or Traister "a bitch," surely the counterpart of "prick." Now there's a real old media/new media story for someone with way too much time on his hands to pick apart. Nope. There's a more anatomically-consistent counterpart. But I'm no prick. Posted by: KarenUhOh on June 10, 2008 9:19 AM Choire, you are my hero. But she's right. I am, in fact, a prick. I am writing this standing up--in solidarity--on MY chair. Posted by: GlennThrush on June 10, 2008 10:04 AM It's a good thing we have the side-stream media keeping us honest about the use of chairs. This is what is important to the American people.
