Keith Olbermann v. Page Six: So '90s!

keitholbermann.jpg
The endless war between once-fearsome Page Six and MSNBC babbling bobblehead Keith Olbermann is in round 43 today. Page Six's latest salvo: Olbermann flipped out at the Kennedy Center's private memorial for Tim Russert because there were no packets of ketchup. Fortunately this totally damning evidence of a failed personality gets lots of rebuttal.

For instance they print that someone at NBC denied that he had lunch there because he was making his T.V. show. And also someone in Olbermann's camp gets all '90s on Page Six, telling them: "Since whatever you're going to print is an outright lie, you can go ahead and write whatever you want. That's on the record and applies to all future items you might make up." (This boilerplate disclaimer was first issued on June 21; expect to see its frequent recurrence.)

Not very helpful, is it? Especially for us, the readers. With all of Page Six's still somewhat resourceful staff focused on Olbermann, sooner or later they'll get the pictures of him drinking the blood of puppies or whatever actual dirt exists on the angriest man on television. Until then, the feud will resemble classic gossip column fodder, except for the actual pleasure of learning something nasty.

I noticed Keith named P6-er Corynne Steindler the third worst person in the world last night, which was very good news for Robert Mugabe. Go Corynne!

Hey, reunionpi, I have this colander wired to some LEDs that keeps the CIA brainwaves out. It can be yours for the low low price of 600,000 Freedonia dollars.
