On what should be his special day, Barack Obama is set to receive the endorsement of former president James Earl "Jimmy" Carter, the greatest living symbol of Democratic executive incompetence and self-righteousness. Not to be outdone by Carter, embattled Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has also offered his support. No word yet on former New Jersey governor Jim McGreevey's choice, but it would certainly complete some sort of hat trick.
