Hills Gal Whitney Slated to Create Fake Reality in New York

ONE OF THESE IS PROBABLY WHITNEY I mean, right?
Hills star Lauren Conrad could barely disguise her contempt (masked beneath a slew of exclamation points, but still!) after finding out that her sweet but dim-witted and bothersome ex-housemate Audrina Patridge had landed a role in an actual Hollywood film. God knows how she'll take the news that her undermining co-worker, blond cherub Whitney Port, has landed her own MTV spin-off.

According to Us Weekly, the show will chronicle Port as she becomes "bicoastal while working for fashion PR firm People's Revolution—and befriends a group of NYC gals (including socialite Olivia Palermo)." An "insider" tells the mag, "There will be more blondes in the city than you ever expected!" Wonder if that "insider" is a "publicist" at MTV!

It's a good career move for the smarter-than-she-looks Port; after all, unlike the rest of the Hills crew, young Whitney actually seems interested in establishing some semblance of a professional career. Her boss at People's Revolution, founder Kelly Cutrone, tells Radar that Port worked out of the company's New York office this past week, and expects her to be putting in more time in upcoming months. "I'm just worried that I'm starting to like her so much that I'm becoming too nice a character for TV," she says.

We're pretty sure Whitney won't have to worry about being liked too much after Tinsley Mortimer et al realize there's a younger, cuter blond in town.
