George Carlin, the comedian whose "Seven Words You Can Never Say On Television" routine gave him as much of a right as anyone else to claim the legacy of Lenny Bruce, has died at the age of 71. Among his many accomplishments, Carlin was the first host of Saturday Night Live, the creator of numerous books, albums, and comedy specials, and the man who posed the question "If God is all powerful, can he make a rock so big that even he cannot lift it?"
