• Letting loose: Pete Doherty is set to be released from jail Tuesday, after serving just 29 days of his 14-week sentence, despite having allegedly shot up in a prison Detox unit. His sentence was reduced in part due to a plan to ease jail overcrowding and make room for other celebrity recidivists.

• Carpetbagged: Disney has pulled Miley Cyrus from her first scheduled public appearance since her almost-topless photo scandal. Miley was supposed to walk the red carpet today for the "Disney Channel Games," but she's been benched. She'll still perform at the games Saturday.

• Secret rendezvous: Rumors are circulating the Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have already wed in a secret island ceremony.
