Montana Pulls Out of Skeezy Anti Meth Ads

THIS HAS ZERO TO DO WITH HANNAH MONTANA The ad in question
If you are a resident of Montana, or a reader of certain blogs, you may have stumbled upon one of the state's anti-meth billboards, in which a strung-out young lass is shown lying prostrate on the ground while a burly attempts to have sexual relations with her, presumably in exchange for a hit of the sweet, sweet drug. (The caption: "15 BUCKS FOR SEX ISN'T NORMAL. BUT ON METH IT IS." Subtle!) Well, it turns out that a lot of people didn't quite like the implication: the ad has been taken down from 10 billboards across the state in response to repeated complaints from a parents organization.
We actually found the ad kind of humorous—by noting that $15 dollars for sex isn't "normal," the ad seems to imply that there exists a reasonable sum for which sex can be purchased, which presumably isn't the point the Montana Meth Project was going for. Though we'd probably find it less funny if we'd ever been face down on the ground willing to give it up for a party drug.
