Breaking!
Lou Pearlman Sentenced to 25 Years

loupearlman.jpg
The long fought fraud case of boy band impresario Lou Pearlman has ended in a federal court in Orlando, Florida, with the onetime fugitive admitting to having bilked an array of investors of 300 million in assorted investing schemes. Pearlman was given a maximum sentence of 300 months in jail, or 25 years.

Said Pearlman:

"I am truly sorry your honor for all the people who have been hurt by my actions.... Hopefully I can help repay the loss."

Sharp apparently took this to heart, offering to shave one month off the sentence for each million dollars Pearlman is able, somehow, to recover for investors. But with his foreclosed mansion already sold at auction, no Escalade golf cart left to hawk, and all his Backstreet Boys toys and memorabilia pawned at a rummage sale, it's curious just how that might happen. Maybe he knows someone who can front him the cash? Then again, there was a guy outside the courthouse selling DVDs of a reality show based on Pearlman's life behind bars. Maybe he's on Lou's payroll?
