A recent sighting of NBC/Universal head Jeff Zucker stopping at Katie Couric's apartment has fueled speculation that the beleaguered CBS anchor might be returning to her former network. Page Six says it's not like that at all, as a Couric pal claims that, "Jeff and Katie have been friends for 20 years. He asked her to get a Mother's Day gift for his wife, Caryn, and picked it up on the way to his daughter's play." So Katie is so disengaged from her anchor duties that she has time to serve as Zucker's concierge? They would have been better off just pretending that the two are having an affair.
