They asked for it, and they got it: Wesley Snipes, convicted of three misdemeanors for not filing taxes, received a 36-month prison sentence, the maximum allowed. "During the sentencing, Snipes apologized for his actions, but the judge indicated that a major reason for the maximum penalty was to deter others from trying something similar." The pillar of dignity, distinction, value and powerfully intended integrity was allowed to surrender at a later date.
