A crisis of epic proportions in our nation's capital has been averted. Heidi Montag will not be attending the White House Correspondents' Association dinner Saturday, and thank god—because Lauren Conrad will be. And everyone knows the last thing we need is the respectable annual supper at D.C.'s Gridiron Club playing out like just another ugly night of bitch-stabbing at Les Deux.

What a Page Six item from today failed to mention, and what a representative from Bloomberg LP tells Radar, is that Queen Bee L.C. will indeed be attending the supper as a guest of the company. Other guests of Bloomberg LP include Pam Anderson, Jeff Koons, and Kerry Washington, among others.

A rep for Heidi tells Radar that her Hills girl won't be attending due to a scheduling conflict, although today's Page Six item claimed the real reason was that MSNBC, who allegedly invited Montag to be a guest at their table, was unwilling to foot the bill for Heidi's manager-boyfriend, Spencer Pratt. A MSNBC rep denied that they'd ever invited Montag and has yet to return a call for comment from Radar.
