Russian president Vladimir Putin, on those rumors that he dumped his wife for gymanst/model/politician Alina Kabaeva: "There is not a single word of truth... In other publications of the same type, the names of other successful, beautiful young women from Russia are mentioned. I think it won't be unexpected if I say that I like them all—just as I like all Russian women." Pausing to reflect for a moment, Putin then added, "Kazan girls really knock me out. They leave the West behind. And Moscow girls make me sing and shout. That Izhevsk's always on my mind." [AP]
