The Observer's Doree Shafrir alerts us to a bit of Hills-related minutiae we missed: Monday night's episode was a total Scientology fest! Getting some on-screen facetime at the Whitley Kros fashion show Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port worked were Thetan-loving actors Kirstie Alley and Jason Lee. According to other reports, additional confirmed Scientologist attendees at the show include Jenna Elfman, Juliette Lewis, Danny Masterson, and Masterson's girlfriend, Bijou Phillips.

It wasn't pure happenstance: One of the designers behind Whitley Kros is Scientologist Marissa Ribisi, twin sister of Scientologist Giovanni Ribisi and wife of Scientologist indie rocker Beck. (The New Yorker's Dana Goodyear reported earlier this year that Marissa Ribisi is a particularly active Church member who often speaks at Scientology-sponsored Hollywood networking events.) Tom Cruise, Will Smith, and Jada Pinkett-Smith presumably had other plans that night.
