Colbert Swoons and Croons For Mrs. Obama

"Everybody knows you and your husband are elitists," Stephen Colbert gibed with Michelle Obama last night on The Colbert Report. "Tell me about your elite upbringing on the South Side of Chicago. How many silver spoons in your mouth?" Obama parried, as she did throughout the night, with a sense of comedic know-how she shares with her husband, presidential hopeful Barack Obama: "We had four spoons ... and then my father got a raise at the plant and then we had five spoons." Colbert, like many a right wing on-air pundit before him (real or in-character), then veered into perv territory: "I hope I'm not out of line saying this, but you're a very good-looking lady," Colbert said. "Do you think your husband would be okay with me having said that?" Mrs. Obama said she thought Barack "might be a little but ruffled." "Ruffled enough to come on my show and try and punch me?" Colbert asked. The clip is above.
