When Amanda Knox, a pretty blonde American student from Seattle, was first fingered by the Italian police as a lead suspect in the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher, it seemed like the evidence against her was pretty damning. Knox was characterized as a sociopathic nympho, a liar, and a kleptomaniac to boot. But according to a documentary airing on British television this week, the case against the coed is looking shaky at best.

And it seems an over-anxious, under-skilled investigation team is at the center of it all.
