So Vogue editor Anna Wintour's's new assistant, reports New York magazine, is a pretty young thing named Claiborne Swanson. What's great about Swanson isn't that she used to be a Vogue public-relations associate or that her picture is on New York Social Diary or that she's actually Wintour's third-in-command for dry cleaning retrieval. (Yes, Wintour has three assistants, not two, like in the movies). It's that she's a Swanson. Yes, of the Hungry Man Swansons.

Call it a hunch, but she probably disavowed her family's trademark Salisbury Steaks quite some time ago.
