Jim Cramer Shows Financial Expertise by Shouting Really Loudly, Wrongly
Posted on Oct 27, 2008 @ 04:07PM
"Dear Jim," a conflicted Mad Money viewer named "Peter" asked loudmouth host Jim Cramer last Tuesday, "Should I be worried about Bear Stearns in terms of liquidity and get my money out of there?" Bear Stearns was trading at around $60 at the time. Cramer's measured, thoughtful response: "No! No! No! Bear Stearns is not in trouble. If anything, they're more likely to be taken over. Don't move your money from Bear. That's just being silly! Don't be silly!"
To be fair, Cramer was right about them being taken over.
