Is Miley Cyrus Next On Paparazzi's List?

Having read early Wednesday that some paps were through with Britney Spears, Radar asked the esteemed panel of journalists and celeb-chasers at yesterday's "The Britney Show: a News Forum" if they were finished as well. And more importantly, if so, was little Miley Cyrus in line to take her place? The consensus seemed to be a resounding maybe-probably.

Like TMZ's Harvey Levin before them, writers and editors gathered at New York University's journalism department for the event, which was led by Atlantic correspondent David Samuels, who wrote the recent Britney Spears article in the mag and teaches at NYU. Panelists included Bonnie Fuller, editorial director of American Media and former editor of Us Weekly; the New York Times' Virginia Heffernan; Page Six's Richard Johnson; and X17's Brandy and Regis Navarre. And though Miley might be on-deck, this group's bond with Britney's is too strong to let go of just yet.

The panel conceded that Britney's story might be in fact be on hold, what with conservator Papa Spears keeping her on lockdown. But who knows what she might do when she cuts lose? Regis admitted that X17 has been stocking up on photos of Cyrus, but Fuller said she felt the time wasn't quite right, that having little Miley on the cover wouldn't move magazines... yet. We also asked if they might take anything away from Britney's breakdown and change their tactics so as not to eventually drive Smiley Miley Cyrus to the brink of insanity. This portion of our write-in question was disregarded.

But if there is no identifiable future object of gossip's desire, just what is the next money shot they're looking for?

Traditional Bonnie said she favored a picture of Brangelina's twins. Romantic Brandy would love a shot of a happy, in-love Britney kissing a new beau (presumably nothing like Adnan). Not surprisingly, it was rebellious, online-video-lovin' Heffernan who had the best answer. She'd love to see footage of Jen and Angelina having an awkward party encounter, preferably in a tight, enclosed space. Us too!
