Yeah, sure, 4000 American troops have died there in the last five years, but it's not all gloom and doom over in Iraq: the country "does not even crack the top 20 in an authoritative new ranking of the world's most unstable places, to be released today by the London-based private intelligence firm Jane's Information Group. The survey... rates the Palestinian territories as the world's most unstable country or territory, with Afghanistan, Haiti and seven African countries filling out the top 10." In contrast, a cushy assignment in Iraq is not dissimilar to being stationed in such run-of-the-mill shitholes as Burundi or Nigeria. So buck up, soldiers, things could be a lot worse! You could be in Afghanistan! Oh, right. [Washington Times]
