Allow us a moment to rejoice: Friday Night Lights has officially been saved.

Over at Deadline Hollywood, blogger Nikki Finke is reporting that NBC and Direct TV will share the financial cost of ensuring that a third season of the critically acclaimed, under-watched drama about high-school football in small town America will see the light of day. (The last episode of season two aired on February 8.) Please watch this time so we don't have to go through this again!
