Vogue editor Anna Wintour has long been considered an arbiter of taste stateside, but she isn't getting much love in her native UK: In what is no doubt a shameless publicity ploy but is still mildly shocking to see in print, the Daily Mail has anointed the austere bob-rocking editor to its worst-dressed list.

"Despite her huge resources," says the Mail, Wintour "never looks as though she is enjoying what she is wearing: her hair is too rigid, her back too straight." Just like Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada!

Adding insult to injury, the Mail goes on to categorize French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld as "terrifyingly chic." That is the same Roitfeld who recently ruffled Wintour's feathers in a New York magazine profile by noting that her American counterpart has "become like a puppet" of late. A puppet with rigid hair and a back that is too straight, even!
