First appearance: October, 2007, in Life & Style, when Lutfi was reportedly trying to hawk Britney's diary for $2 million. He later denied it, saying Spears doesn't even have a diary.
Fun facts:
• He's the son a gas pumper; his mom, who's frequently bailed him out of trouble, reportedly owns several gas stations around Woodland Hills, California.
• The subject of a new restraining order filed by Britney Spears' parents, he has to keep 250 feet away from her. They allege that he drugged her, cut her phone lines, and tried to take control of a life she didn't exactly have the reins on herself.
• It's not the first restraining order for Sammy. According to a recent profile in Blender, Lutfi had a falling out with his BFF of two years, Danny Haines, 29. The two met on dysfunction junction MySpace and became definitely not-gay manpals, with Lutfi constantly wrenching personal secrets out of Haines—like the X-rated photos Haines did in a pinch. (Not judging.) In the beginning, Lutfi reportedly liaised between Haines and his parents, helped Haines breeze past bouncers at clubs, and promised to help his career—but he wilted into a hormonal nightmare when things didn't go his way, Haines tells Blender. He allegedly borrowed $18,000 he never paid back and suggested to the then-fragile Haines that he off himself: "Seriously, sleeping pills, LOTS of them ..." He's also accused of telling Haines he hoped his sister would be "raped to death," and of his mother, Lutfi allegedly said, "I hope Satan devours her flesh and bones." Also, he sent Haines' family nude pics of Haines. Their friendship ended in a court case and a restraining order against Lutfi. Presumably, they're not MySpace friends anymore, either.
• In yet another restraining order filed against him and reported in Us, Lutfi "harassed me repeatedly with obscene e-mails, offensive faxes, telephone voice mails (around 1 a.m. to 3 a.m.), out-of-control behavior and outrageous telephone hang-ups (around 15 to 30 a day)," said Jumana Issa, a business acquaintance, in a 2005 complaint. And Lutfi scolded her: "Peel yourself away from all the candy ... and overhangin [sic] belly ... and answer my e-mails."
• There's another. In 2004, Lutfi's former neighbor Douglas Snoland said Lutfi wanted to kill his 73-year-old mother and tried to kick down his front door, thinking Snoland had his car towed. "I will beat your ass ... Your mother is a fucking old hag. You are a faggot. You will regret the day you ever met me," Lutfi said, according the complaint reported in Us. "Lutfi's attorney denied the threats, but a judge granted a three-year restraining order to Lutfi to stay at least 15 feet away from Snoland and his mom."
• On a similarly creepy side note, Lutfi has recently manscaped his own chin hair into the same scheme as Spears' paparazzo boytoy Adnan Ghalib: the male version of the landing strip.
Accolades
• Got "extra special thanks" in the credits of Kate Beckinsale leather fantasy Underworld: Evolution.
• Other film credits include an executive producer credit on Antonio Sabato Jr. bomb Circles (1998).
• He backslid to an associate producer role in the Ben Affleck-produced snoozer Crossing Cords (2001). But he was back to plain old producer in SFX: Life Behind Bars, a pic about dirt biking.
• A producer and director who worked with Lutfi on 1998 movie Bug Buster told Us he was a $350-a-week assistant, adding, "He was a hustler type, a fast-talking kid."
