In case you haven't heard, the New York Giants pulled a 17-14 upset over the seemingly invincible New England Patriots at the Super Bowl last night; the victory was particularly shocking when you consider that the Giants are coached by a man whose general demeanor resembles that of Jack Lemmon in the last act of Glengarry, Glen Ross. And while football pundits and Vegas oddsmakers will spend the next few weeks watching film and crunching numbers to figure out how they could have been so wrong, they should really consider putting in a call to Saw actor Tobin Bell. According to Radar's research, Bell is the only pundit—professional or amateur—to correctly predict the game's outcome.

It may be fitting that an unheralded character actor foretold the death of the Patriots dynasty. Way back in 2002, JAG co-star Catherine Bell prophesied in The Sporting News that the then-upstart Patriots would take down the heavily-favored St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI by a score of 20-17. Expect David Proval, Daniel Baldwin, and Rebecca de Mornay to start fielding calls from ESPN executives in the very near future.

UPDATE: Reading comprehension, never our strong suit. Bell did get the score right, but he had it the wrong way around. Which makes us idiots. Still, the Patriots lost, and that's enough to console our feelings of shame and guilt for not actually, you know, reading the thing correctly.
