In the Ukraine, Blonde Ambition roughly translates to "Doesn't suck worse than Ishtar." According to People and revenue receipts from Box Office Mojo, Jessica Simpson's cutesy fish-out-of-water comedy is the toast of the Ukraine, in part because of Ukrainians' hunger for escapism in their movies. The overseas Simpson hit came in at number one and raked in $253,008 in its opening weekend from Feb. 14 to 17. Compare to Simpson's opening weekend here, in which her historically low-grossing turkey raked in $1,322. How do you say, "Thanks y'all" in Ukrainian?
