< BACK TO Fresh Intelligence Friday Night Lights May Live to Play Another Down!
OVERTIME? FNL While NBC worked out a similar arrangement with USA over Law & Order: Criminal Intent, the FNL deal is by no means a sure thing; for one, Silverman's asking price is said to be too high. Still, it's somewhat refreshing to see a major network make a concerted effort to sustain a program that, while not necessarily a cash cow, does have some semblance of artistic integrity. Even if it'll be canceled next time around when no one's watching it on two channels. 
I am so hopeful that Friday Night Lights will find a spot on television. It is the one show we look forward to each week. The actors are so well cast... such brilliant acting. The stories are meaningful and heartwarming. I have grown so attached to the characters. I can't imagine not having them in my life. Please do what you can to keep the show on. Perhaps move to another night. Most people go out on a Friday night. I will do what I can to rally more troops to watch the show and let them know it is not just about football.
