Democrats on Capitol Hill would probably prefer that you forgot all about that little promise to stop the war, which vaulted them into the controlling majority of Congress. Perhaps sticking it to the Bushies in a far less substantive ways will appease you? If so, why not take a moment to enjoy the nice Valentines Day treat they've prepared in the form of a resolution holding Bush lackeys Josh Bolten and Harriet Miers in contempt of Congress for refusing to testify about the kerfuffle over the firing of certain US Attorneys. The measure was approved on the House floor this afternoon, but not before House Republicans responded with their own staged theatrics by walking out of the House chamber en masse following a rousing speech by perma-tanned Republican leader John Boehner. And everyone knows there's nothing more powerful on Valentine's Day than a tanned Boehner (Get it?! His name is Boehner!). [The Hill]
