Just as smug as you remember him, President Bush addressed the Conservative Political Action Conference today and flatly endorsed Dick Cheney as the "best vice president in history." Better than Nobel prize and Oscar-winning Al Gore, better than Thomas Jefferson, and better than Dubya's own pops. We don't really fancy ourselves vice-presidential scholars here, but we're going to go ahead and say George is wrong on this one.
