< BACK TO Fresh Intelligence Once Upon a Sundance: Opener Roundup
DANCE OF DAYS Olsen, Kingsley (Photo: Getty Images) On opening night, the In Bruges after-party drew Colin Farrell and Mary-Kate Olsen to the Hpnotic lounge at The Lift. Olsen came to hang with Farrell, but spent much of the time upstairs with her pals, while the Irish heartthrob cavorted downstairs with some seedy-looking imports. After the party, Olson headed outside to smoke a cigarette with some friends, one of whom asked to take a snap with the pint-size actress. She agreed, provided the pic didn't "end up on pagesix.com." Perez Hilton was spotted at Tao at Harry-O's early in the weekend, looking like a panicked and overstuffed Teddy Ruxpin when a blackout hit Main Street. Event staffers repeatedly took the stage to inform everyone that "it would just be a few more minutes," but only after nearly an hour did the lights flicker back on. Hilton had by then hightailed it through the sweaty, inebriated crowd, skipping Maroon 5's delayed set. Hunky Lower East Side heartthrob Josh Hartnett was seen sneaking off with cherub-faced Kirsten Dunst while partying at Hyde Lounge at Village at the Yard. The duo reemerged around 3 a.m. and squeezed in some inner-tube sledding beside the club. But is was the stately Sir Ben Kingsley who was the true man about town. After making the photo rounds with The Wackness costar Mary-Kate Olsen, the actor stopped by the Transsiberian after-party at Stereo, and then followed it up with an appearance at Greenhouse at Top of the Main the following evening. As is any exceptionally talented actor's wont, he casually sipped cocktails as friends and eager fans vied for his attention. Advertisement |
