For starters, reports surfaced that California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will endorse McCain today, which is basically a running-start cock-punch to Romney's hopes of winning the Golden State next week. Secondly, the Romney campaign revealed that it hasn't purchased television time for commercials in any of the 21 states that are having primaries on Tuesday, February 5. Many will argue that this is suicidal, particularly the political consultant parasites who have been getting just so rich off of him in the last year.
Romney could change course and buy some airtime today, but the simple act of admitting that he hesitated when it came time to dip into his personal fortune again (his wallet is already about $40 million lighter!) will be taken as a smoke signal that the white flag of surrender will soon be flapping above Romney HQ. But don't worry: Ron Paul's still rollin', y'all!
