Here Is New York

  • In case you missed it, departing Gawker managing editor Choire Sicha used his final post as an occasion to turn out a 17-page (printed) stroll down memory lane—specifically, New York's memories thus far in this young millennium. Sicha read every New York Times Metro section from the last seven years and turned out a mammoth exegesis on how the city has and hasn't changed. It's amazing how much stuff we've forgotten. Anyway, well worth your time if you have seven or eight hours going spare. [Gawker]
