Katherine Heigl Sneaks in the Holiday Cover Back Door

SLEIGH, WEDDING BELLS OK cover
Another mid-week holiday wreaks havoc on the weeklies. The result: In Touch and Us go the diet cover route (with every American vowing to drop 20 lbs. in the first 10 minutes '08, there's a higher tolerance for Carrie Underwood keeping a food diary) and Star runs 16 pages of celebs in funny clothes and fashions a "Before They Had Stylists" story.

Pretty much the only thing that happened was that sort of A-list-though-she-could-never- carry-a-cover-alone actress Katherine Heigl married Josh Kelley (a musician no one has ever heard of) and misanthropic baby Shiloh Jolie-Pitt emerged from hiding/recovered from a nasty ear infection. Was the trouble a product of dirty, neglected ear canals? Who's to say?

Katherine's happy, happy Utah ski resort wedding means one thing: OK! was there to "report" on the gushing details, garner exclusive photos, and, of course, write a nice check to finance the couple's honeymoon—with the exclusive on Kate Walsh's nuptials in the fall, Grey's Anatomy marriages now account for a full 33 percent of OK! soppy ink.

The wedding took place on December 23, so technically it should have been covered in last week's glossies, but, you know, eggnog, last-minute shopping, hangovers ... those sorts of things are always in the way. The Grey's gal does look really pretty in her ruffley Oscar de la Renta gown and her costars all seem to be having a good enough time to almost justify all the alliteration of the phrase Winter
Wonderland Wedding, which all the weeklies insist on running. Still we'd bet money that when these two kids split in 18 months, Katherine's going to make fun of the "December 23" song Josh wrote to accompany her down the aisle.

And speaking of things that actually happened the week before, on Dec. 22, Angelina Jolie took blonde bio-baby Shiloh on a bike ride around New Orleans, Life & Style reports. Not that anyone was counting (well, actually, L&S had been keeping a tally on their website), but these are the first pics of the Shi-ster in more than 70 days! There was much speculation, at L&S at least, that there were death threats against the star spawn, that Angie was keeping her "outcast" daughter locked in a tower because she looked like Brad. But a "family friend" puts all that to rest. Turns out Shi just had a series (!) of ear infections. It's a holiday miracle the tot'll ever even hear the splash of paps bulbs popping again!
