Jim McCrery of Louisiana—a Romney backer and the campaign's chief liaison in the House of Representatives—is resigning, ostensibly because he's sick of Charlie Rangel pushing him around. McCrery has long been dogged by rumors about his sexuality, including a feature story in the Advocate, which detailed the congressman's passion for gay bars and male strip clubs. Upon hearing the news of McCrery's resignation, Romney issued a statement: "I wish him the best and know that his family looks forward to spending more time together."
