What's a Golden Globe nominee to do?

Despite her appearance in a United Hollywood video short supporting the writers, Golden Globe nominee Christina Applegate says she won't have any trouble crossing picket lines in order to get her just desserts at the awards show—unlike some of her more sympathetic Hollywood brethren.

The Samantha Who? star tells Variety, "Oh yeah, of course, I'm planning on attending. Everything's so up in the air right now. It's a strange time for all of us because our future is in someone else's hands." Christina, Radar never thought they'd say this to anyone, but, take a page from Katherine Heigl and take a stand (and a photo op).

How, pray tell, will other stars handle the Globe handjob?

Scientologist cross-dresser John Travolta is going to wait and take an e-meter reading: "I have faith that as long as communication and consultation are happening, things will work out. We just have to respect the process."

Jeremy Piven has been too busy chasing tail at Les Deux to really pay much attention to the whole thing, telling Variety, "I don't know about whether or not I'll be attending because, to be honest with you, I don't know a lot about the rules and limitations of what is happening. I need to look into it."

But some stars clearly know which side of the picket line they stand on. Mad Men leading hottie Jon Hamm proclaims proudly: "There's no way I would cross a picket line."

And Eastern Promises director David Cronenberg? "It would be very hard for me to cross a WGA picket line." Well!

And that darling princeling Ryan Gosling has a perfectly witty idea about how to handle the strike-awards show conundrum. "I want talk to Tom Hanks about it, because I imagine he always does the right thing."

Ryan, Jon, David, if you need a date not to cross pickets lines with, call us.
