At last week's rather tepid CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute event, one man, Ecuadorian environmentalist Pablo Fajardo, was honored for forcing a major oil conglomerate to pay $6 billion to clean up a toxic waste mess in the Amazon rain forest. What CNN neglected to tell us at the time was that the oil company in question, Chevron, just happens to be a major advertiser with the network.
