• Zanessa: The Magazine: Despite breakup rumors, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have elicited their own special magazine issue, ZANESSA: Their Love Story!, from the editors of Popstar!. Though the magazine promises rare pics, there are sadly no additional explicitly nude photos of Zanessa.
• Cell phone censors: Verizon Wireless rejects a request by a pro-choice abortion rights group to issue text messages through Verizon's network. Though the company claims neutrality on controversial issues, a law professor makes this comparison: "Another entity that controls mass text messages is the Chinese government."
• Smarttext tome: Writers who draft entire novel manuscripts on their cell phones are gaining significant popularity in Japan. Most of these "mobile novelists" and their audiences are women (read: have tiny thumbs).
• Bush in favor of popcorn lung?: The Bush Administration takes a stand against the "Popcorn Lung" bill, which aims to regulate worker exposure to a flavoring chemical in popcorn that causes respiratory problems. The White House's policy stirs WSJ comment boards into a frenzy. Bush choking jokes abound.
