POPE SHOOTVamos a Ibiza
The island of Ibiza, Spain, is famed for its libidinal non-stop dance parties, licentious drug scene, and the shitty Euro house soundtrack that sets the pace for it all. It's not shocking, then, that the city's town hall found it entirely appropriate to authorize a show that includes Dutch artist Ivo Hendriks's collage Vamos a Ibiza ("Let's Go to Ibiza") featuring the late Pope John Paul II being sodomized in an odd two-and-a-half person choo-choo maneuver.

Adding to the controversy is the fact that the exhibit takes place in a former church. The local bishop, Vicente Juan Segura, raged that the piece "offended Catholic sentiment," calling for its "immediate and urgent withdrawal." But the town consular for culture, Sandra Mayans, stood by the exhibit, telling El Mundo newspaper, "Ibiza has never and will never exercise any form of censorship of artistic expression."

Um, the guy getting fisted in the background? Seems maybe His late-Holiness got off easy this time.
