On his first day out, Jeff Bercovici makes a bee-line for Laura "JT Leroy" Albert's profile in the Times today (scooping up an observation that went right over Gawker's head) and reaches way around to scratch his own (and our) back in being the first to forecast Maxim editor Jimmy Jellinek's firing.
