O.J. Book Push Squirts on Face of B&N

  • O.J. Simpson's Goldman family-controlled maybe tell-all murder confessional, If I Did It, is getting an attaboy pat on the ass from its (rightly) confident publisher, Beaufort Books: 25,000 copies worth, upping the total first-print run to 150,000. Seems the Barnes & Noble store moratorium hasn't impeded public anticipation for the book (it already tops b&n.com and is in the top 50 at amazon.com). Oprah's hosting the Goldmans and the Browns in a polyester blend-clad steel-cage match on Sept. 13, so Beaufort publisher Eric Kampmann is sending book orders as they're bound on Sept. 11—like any good hype man would/should.
